The POWER POUCH

The POWER POUCH Bag on Valve (BOV) is best described as a package within a package. The unit consists of a flexible, thin-walled inner pouch which is made of lightweight yet durable PET plastic. The pouch is pleated to allow assembly on existing automatic assembly and filling equipment. A valve is incorporated into the neck I.D. with a gasket and an industry standard 1” mounting cup is crimped onto the pouch’s rigid neck. The hermetically sealed inner plastic pouch is inserted into an aluminum can. The can is gassed under the mounting cup with compressed air or nitrogen immediately followed by crimping of the 1” mounting cup to the neck finish of the can. The gas is further compressed as the flexible pouch expands during its filling. The fully compressed gas exerts external pressure around the flexible pouch. The valve is then fitted with an actuator button; pressing the actuator button causes the valve to open which allows the product to release from the package.
