The POWER ASSEMBLY (ATMOS) system

The POWER ASSEMBLY (ATMOS) delivery system is designed for product purity, convenience and safety. As an added bonus, it also offers you the ability to create new unique outer package designs to help brand and market your product!

The POWER ASSEMBLY (ATMOS) Advantage

Purity

The simple, durable design is hermetically sealed to prevent air from entering the package, keeping the product free of contaminants. Contents can further be sterilized using electron beam or gamma ray technology.

Convenience

The soft, controllable spray dispenses product continuously and evenly at any angle, without stopping or pumping. This allows consumers to apply just the right amount of product, even in hard-to-reach places.

Safety

The POWER ASSEMBLY (ATMOS) is environmentally friendly. Designed as an alternative to packages containing CFCs in the late 1980s, the POWER ASSEMBLY (ATMOS) avoids the pressurized fluorocarbons or hydrocarbons that become unstable at high temperatures or damage the ozone layer.

Compatibility

The POWER ASSEMBLY (ATMOS) system is adaptable to a wide range of product viscosities, including gels, liquids, creams and post-foaming products in water-, oil- or alcohol-based formulations. For a full list of available uses, visit the House Formulations page. All formulations are rigorously tested with POWER ASSEMBLY (ATMOS) to ensure compatibility.

Design a Unique Package

A unique advantage of POWER ASSEMBLY (ATMOS) is the ability to create a unique outer package that differentiates your product from your competition. How? The inner assembly isn't dependent on the outer package for dispensing the product. It only requires minimum height and diameter guidelines for proper filling of the PET bottle and a vent hole to aid the filling process. That means your design team can apply their maximum creativity in the design process.

How does it work?

The POWER ASSEMBLY (ATMOS) system is essentially a package within a package. A thin-walled, yet durable, plastic inner PET bottle with an integrated valve assembly is surrounded by a natural rubber sleeve. This rubber sleeve expands as the inner bottle is filled. When the valve is pushed, product is released with the rubber sleeve's natural tendency to return to normal size as the propellant. The POWER ASSEMBLY (ATMOS) system is self-pressurized dispensing without propellants.  For an overview of the process, please view our Power Assembly technical reference.

POWER ASSEMBLY (ATMOS) components include the power assembly, actuator (spray button), locking snap ring, locking over-cap, and the outer container made of plastic, metal or glass. The inner rubber sleeve, actuator, locking ring and over cap can be colored to match the outer package design.

Package Quality

The POWER ASSEMBLY (ATMOS) package meets or exceeds MIL-STD-105E level II requirements for critical defects at 0.65 AQL. Many customers experience significantly lower levels.

Consistent Pressure, Low Residual

The POWER ASSEMBLY (ATMOS) system dispenses product between 15 and 30 psi. Most of the product is dispensed at 20 psi with a low residual of 5%.

The POWER ASSEMBLY (ATMOS) system offers you a unique dispensing solution. Combined with Power Container's professional customer service, technical support and full-turnkey solutions, we can help bring your product to market.
